This is just a selection of some of the projects that the Town Council has been involved with.

Bullpit Renovation Bullpit Renovation

At the end of last year the Bullpit renovations were finished and the Town Council was pleased to welcome the Sheriff of Wiltshire to perform the opening ceremony.

The project was joint funded by the Town Council, Wiltshire County Council and the Five Towns Initiative. Consultation was carried out with local traders and residents.

The old railings have been replaced, the riverside wall has been built up, a new surface including a stone path has been constructed and three new benches sponsored by members of the public have been installed. The beautiful view of the Town Bridge can now be enjoyed at leisure by residents and visitors to the town.

Octagonal Garden Mosaic Design

The Octagonal Garden is situated by the river in St Margaret's Hall Car Park just by the archway through to Westbury Gardens.

Bradford on Avon Town Council in conjunction with The Five Towns' Initiative, West Wiltshire District Council and the Preservation Trust have opened up the blanked off windows and planted a landscaped garden in this space. The garden incorporates a mosaic feature.

Elements of the design were produced at a workshop held as part of the Town Arts Festival on Saturday, 24th September 2005 in St Margaret's Hall. The workshop was run by mosaicist Anita Andrews who then created the mosaic.

A stone centrepiece designed by Jane Mortimer was the final touch and reflects the twinning towns of Norden in Germany, Sully sur Loire in France and Elblag in Poland.

The project was completed in Spring 2006.
